Questionnaire Response Analysis

Questionnaire Analysis

To find out more about our audience for a horror film we decided to send out a questionnaire. We asked questions about them to find out what type of
people would watch our film and we also asked questions on their expectations on the horror genre. This was to find out what type of horrors they like and would rather watch to help us understand more about what we should use in our film. Here is a link to the results of the questionnaire: Questionnaire responses

Through the second question we found out what the age of our audience would be. This was done to help us adjust our film to their liking and to a teen age group. The next three questions were about the horror genre its self we found out how often they watch horrors to see if they would be interested in the film and also asked what type of horror they would rather see to help us understand what sub-genre we could base our film around for the audience. Although there was a selection of sub genres picked, the top choice was the killer/murderer sub-genre which is important to help us understand what the audience would want watch. We asked what type of film they would rather see  so it can help us know why that film in particular was successful. The favourite hobbies question was asked to help us suit the film to them, as the top answer was meeting friends we can make the film more realistic and relatable for the audience. This can add a scarier effect on the audience also intrigue them more from the opening. For the last two questions we asked them their expectations of a horror this was so we could base the setting and character qualities in our film of off audience preference. The top settings were a creepy house/building and a forest this is good as allows us to set the film in either setting. The last question was useful as we allowed them to write what they thought a character would be like in a typical horror film.
